BBQ from heaven!

The Salt Lick's reputation as one of the best BBQ restaurants in Texas is well deserved. These people do not fuck around. Their brisket is by far the best I've ever had: moist, succulent, drenched in smoke flavor. When people from Austin are willing to drive to Driftwood, Texas to get BBQ -- probably the second most common genre of cuisine here (after Tex-Mex) -- and wait an hour just to be seated, they're doing something right. Actually, waiting is kind of fun. Patrons get to sit outside on picnic tables, drink their BYOB beer, and listen to some wacky dude play covers of old country songs.
