Vancouver's new bike lane is pretty cool

Being the fan that I am of driving videos, I was stoked to find this video on the Vancouver Province's website of some reporter biking down the new bike lane on Hornsby Street in downtown Vancouver. I love the idea and it's a great way to tell the story.

Vancouver, while no Amsterdam, is one of the most bike friendly cities I've been to. When I was there in 2009, everyone seemed to be biking all over the place. Great stuff.

The Hornby bike lane is pretty useful and a good step towards Amsterdam style bike infrastructure downtown. It connects the Burrard Bridge bike lane with the Venables lane. It took some balls for Gregor Robinson and city council to put all this together so props to them.
