Construction Zone Came and Went

Blogger offers two options for running your site. Classic and Layouts mode. With Classic, you can publish via FTP to your own server, but you surrender the ability to use tons of cool, easy-to-use features offered in Layouts mode.

Update on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 9:48 PM: The transition is pretty much done now. The lamest thing was that when I switched back, it didn't copy any of the photos I uploaded in the past year, so I had to reup them.

Welcome back :) For the last day or so I thought your site had been harmonized by the Chinese gov't since I couldn't access it without proxy/VPN. Seems fine now though.

Yikes. Let me know if they ever block it. Google has a deal with the Chinese govt to restrict search results so it should always work.

Hmmm seems to not be working again when I don't use a VPN. The weekend is a bad time to check the 'regular' net here because that's when 500 million people or so decide to play WoW at the same time and clog up the Internet here.

Google does have a deal with the govt here regarding search, but as far as I know blogger.com/blogspot is still blocked.

Argh! That sucks. Weird that the Chinese govt would allow some Google products but not others.

What about if you were to use Google Reader along with a Firefox extension like Better GReader, which allows you to view pull posts in Goolge Reader

Anything else I can do to make it viewable besides moving to WordPress?
