Flight of the Conchords live in Austin

I thought the show might include a huge stage production with sketches and elaborate costumes, but the Flight of the Conchords live show is really just Jermaine and Brett playing acoustic versions of the songs from their awesome TV show. They talk a bit and then play a song and then talk some more and then play another one. Their banter was particularly hilarious. Here's a taste of their show. Yeah, I know it's shaky video. It was being recorded surreptitiously.

August weather in May

Finally, the Canadians I laughed at through the winter get their revenge. After months of room temperature weather and clear blue skies, Austin is hot as shit and it's only May 8th!

Majestic fountain on UT campus

There are a few fountains on the UT campus, but I didn't even notice this bad boy until last night. That building lit up all orange in the background is the landmark UT tower.
